The pianist Jordi Barceló and the Flamenco guitarist Manuel Alonso will present their album: Latin Stride & Flamenco.
Both musicians, along with the percussionist Pablo Gómez Molina, one of the main performers of the cajón (box) flamenco in Barcelona, will present original songs and compositions by Paco de Lucía and Chick Corea.
Manuel Alonso is the first Mexican in the world with a degree in Flamenco, as he owns the Highest Music Degree in Flamenco guitar by the Music College of Catalonia.
Rooted in Barcelona for a decade and based in Andorra, he also has a Degree in Guitar by the National Music School of UNAM.
He currently works for several musical projects as musical director, arranger and performer, while he prepares his first flamenco guitar album with original songs.
Barceló, is also a composer and teacher, principal of the Escola de Música de les Valls del Nord and besides having other executive positions in musical unions, he has collaborated as composer, arranger, musical director and piano performer with artists and groups of classical music, jazz, flamenco and Latin music.
Gómez is a graduated percussionist, from the Music College of Catalonia and has crossed the Iberian Peninsula, Morocco, Switzerland, France and Italy as part of the flamenco group, Ropa Vieja (Old Clothing).
